From the Plum Village Community
We have sold all the plums we had in stock before their best-before date passed. Thank you very much for your support!
Plum Village takes its name from the plum fields surrounding the Mindfulness practice center founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in the 1980s. When the community settled in the area, they planted 1250 plum trees.
Our delicious plums are grown in the fields of Lower Hamlet (Loubès Bernac). They are grown naturally without using any pesticides, but they don’t have an official organic certification.
Due to Covid-19 and the lockdown we have been unable to sell our plums. We are now stuck with 4000 bags of delicious dried plums that have a best-before date of August 2021. Regardless of the best-before date these plums will continue to be tasty for many more months.
The 500gram rehydrated plums have been dried and then rehydrated, this makes them soft, tender and ready to eat. The 2kg dried plums have been dried in the oven and are best used for cooking purposes.
The nutritional properties have been preserved, vitamins, fibres and trace elements are still present.
